Little My is very small, but very determined, fiery and loyal to her friends. She has a sour sense of humour and is sometimes thought of as being rude although she merely speaks her mind. She is good friends with Moomin, Sniff, Snufkin, the Moomins and she is close with Snorkmaiden although she finds her a bit silly. She is the half sister of snufkin and sometimes sits in his pocket. She is eventually adopted by the Moomin Family and lives with them. When she comes across someone smaller than her she competes for size as she wishes to be the smallest.
