So, Budapest once again proved itself to be  a delight. The weather has been really hot, the streets are filled with music and laughter, people are friendly, there is something in the air.

My one day here is coming to an end soon. I need to find some mascara before heading to the airport. to meet up with J. We will have some more hours before heading back to Bratislava. Anyway, I’m happy knowing that we will be back in July Smile

Here We Go Again!

But first I’m hoping for a good Summer Night with two dear friends at the Bratislava Street Art Festival – how cool isn’t that?

The plan for Budapest is to walk around, visit a bookshop and to just be. Not a bad plan for a weekend, I would say.

In Love With Mornings

The first sun rays that find their way through the blinds, the silence surrounding the flat, the first taste of bitter coffee and sweet orange juice mixing on the tongue. The brain is slowly, slowly waking up.

Reading the news, giving life to my face. Wedding pictures in blogs and in newspapers. Happiness. Books everywhere. No anxiety even though it’s Monday. Preparing the gym bag. Counting days.

I can’t believe it took me a month to realise that I live in a flat with a balcony.. that realisation was quite a positive thing today when the heat finally returned to Bratislava.

Couscous with smoked salmon, avocado, tomato, fresh basil and garlic.

Just One Saturday

I started writing this post on Tuesday, 4 am. I seem to be updating the blog at the weirdest hours. On Sunday I handed in my last assignment for this semester, so now it’s pretty much holiday. That day I woke up at 1 am and was not able to sleep since – great fun considering I had to be at work in less than four hours.
Now it’s Sarurday and the flat is empty. J. went to Sweden for a week and I don’t know what to do with myself. I want him back.
Last Saturday was such a perfect day, after a quick visit to the open air market and a delicious breakfast, we went for a trip to Trnava, a lovely town not far from Bratislsava.

Dressing Up

A friend was asking for pictures of me wearing dresses. Satu, here you are – today’s dresses Smile (just nevermind the circles under my eyes, the horrible light and the terrible posing!)

I just love this shade of blue – what do you think?
