Obsessed about food

DSCN3581

Let’s start with today’s lunch which consisted of one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten, or at least made myself. You will need: mixed lettuce, beetroot, chickpeas, garlic, chicken, parsley and balsamic vinegar. Goat cheese would also be more than perfect with this.

There is one thing that bothers me quite a lot: whenever you try to eat healthily, everyone around you panics. Suddenly people are trying to force you to eat hamburgers, or anything else that you are trying to avoid. I let people eat whatever they want, so shouldn’t they do the same? The problem is that neither my family nor friends are known for being excessively healthy (say hello to pizzas, pasta, processed meat and hamburgers) and whenever I try to follow a more healthy path (and yes. I also prefer "fresh" food because of the taste), they’ll just look at me as if I’m some sort of lunatic. What exactly is the problem? Isn’t it a positive thing if someone is trying to be healthy?

It just scares people into realizing that they need to change their eating habits too and maybe they aren't ready for that realization.
